About

As a result of a life long love affair with all things related to food including my career of choice being a restaurant manager I thought of myself as an informed eater, and further more as a healthy eater. However, I began to doubt myself.  In the ever-changing food climate of organic versus local versus conventional, of Omega 3, Omega 6, protein versus carbohydrates, gluten or no gluten, anti-oxidants, and ‘super foods’, how does one actually shop, cook and eat without spending an extraordinary amount of money and time?  How does one eat responsibly and why are we suffering so much confusion and guilt over what to eat? I am deeply concerned with our growing disconnection from the food that we eat and the consequences of that distance. In this blog I will bring you all the information that I can about eating well from as many sources as I can. Whether it is local, organic, seasonal, conventional, or imported, I will focus on sustainable eating, buying, cooking and above all celebrating the food that enriches our lives.
